Katherine’s first involvement with River Canyon School was in 2011 when she was invited by a parent to be a fairy at the Harvest Festival. It was then that she fell in love with the school. Now her daughter is in her second school year with River Canyon. Originally from Mississippi, Katherine moved to Prescott, AZ for college and eventually found her way to Grand Junction. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from CMU and before having her daughter, she worked for the US Geological Survey as a Hydrologic Technician. Katherine now works for Brothers’ Inspection Inc. which provides the perfect work/life balance she needs as a working parent. Katherine enjoys skiing, biking, rafting, and traveling with her family as well as yoga, fiber arts, and reading.
