Ashely Costello-Dennis

Lead Teacher

Miss Ashley is a Western Colorado native who returned here to raise a family after living in Chicago, Florida and Georgia. Her background is in theatre, classical ballet and the arts, but she always found herself drawn to work with children. While pursuing a degree in theatre performance, Ashley stumbled upon an article on Waldorf education and was so inspired by the philosophy that she decided to wholeheartedly pursue the field of education. Ashley studied Elementary Education at Western Governors University and received her LifeWays certification (an Early Childhood Waldorf-inspired training) in 2014.

She taught in the River Canyon kindergarten from 2011-2015 and lead the RCS Little Daisies program from 2013-2017. She has also worked as a reading teacher, owned and operated a small childcare business, volunteered as an Art Heritage teacher and is an active member of the Juniper Ridge School Parent Council.
Ashley spends her free time with her husband and three children, ages 12, 13, and 14. She is passionate about art, camping, restoring vintage campers, cooking, and canning.
